Continuing Education Credits
The following are a few of the CEU options available:
Proctoring a Course for Continuing Education Credits
If your hospital would like to have multiple staff in a conference room to share in the learning experience of a webinar that the LHA is offering, you must have a designated Proctor in place if anyone desires continuing education credits if offered for the course. The Proctor Agreement outlines the duties required to meet continuing education criteria. Here are the steps to follow:
Winter Symposium and Summer Conference
Each year, the LHA offers two programs specifically for hospital leadership. The Winter Healthcare Leadership Symposium and the Summer Conference combine opportunities for hospital leadership to learn about the latest healthcare developments, locally and nationally, and to network with colleagues from across the state.
Leadership Programs
Changing health and healthcare in Louisiana and beyond will require transformational leadership, and an important part of Louisiana hospitals' initiative to reengineer care is to identify and train leaders for today and tomorrow. Therefore a priority for the LHA is to identify education gaps and work with the appropriate partners to make needed training accessible and affordable to the Louisiana healthcare workforce who will play a leadership role in transforming healthcare. Audiences for various offerings are likely to include hospital executives, trustees, managers, physicians, nurses, members of the community, hospital employees who are natural leaders among their peers, and students who look forward to a career in healthcare. For more information on leadership offerings, visit the LHA Education Calendar.
Sponsors & Exhibitors
The LHA hosts events year-round that give providers of healthcare services and products the opportunity to meet face-to-face with hospital leadership. Our programs each have unique audiences — hospital C-suite, nurses, physicians, attorneys, communications professionals, emergency preparedness staff, coders, behavioral healthcare providers, rural hospitals and many more. View a list of opportunities or call the Education Department to craft a sponsorship that fits your company's needs.
