OVERVIEW: The Louisiana Hospital Association (LHA) has worked with various health plans to offer a five-part educational series. Each of these powerful events will have health plan representatives available to provide information specific to their processes and programs as well as to answer questions to assist hospitals with maneuvering through the challenges they sometimes face.

Developed using member hospital feedback on issues that frequently arise, the program objectives are designed to offer a meaningful and detailed discussion of health plan policies and practices. Additionally, the day will end with a general question and answer session with health plan representatives.

Join us for the opportunity to network with health plans to establish or further enhance relationships with key people to facilitate future success and open the lines of communication where none may have existed previously. 

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Receive timely updates from health plans on current issues;
  • Establish rapport with health plan representatives;
  • Clarify details of each plan’s processes on key areas to reduce errors and duplication of effort and to improve operational efficiencies;
  • Identify electronic communication methods to improve claim turnaround; and
  • Identify key contacts at plans to enable more effective communication.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing up to one week prior to a scheduled event will be charged a cancellation fee of $40 (per person, per event). Registrants who are unable to attend an LHA educational event are permitted to, and encouraged to send a substitute without incurring a cancellation fee. Please send written notice of any substitutions prior to the scheduled event. Cancellations received less than one week prior to the scheduled event, or individuals who fail to attend will result in a non-refundable registration fee. 

 
TRANSFER POLICY
Transfer requests must be in writing and received one week prior to the event to receive a credit to use at a later date. A $40 transfer fee will be charged.  The LHA will hold your credit for a period of one year following the start date of the program for which you were originally registered. Transfer requests received less than one week prior to event will result in a non-refundable registration fee.

REGISTRATION: Registrations are accepted online only. VISA, Master Card, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Email confirmations will be sent to registrants upon completion of registration. To ensure timely delivery of instructions and handouts, and inclusion on the attendee list, registrations should be completed online one week prior to the event. Program materials are the intellectual property of the speakers and are not meant to be shared with anyone other than registered participants. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Individuals who cancel more than seven business days prior to a scheduled event will be charged a cancellation fee of $50 per person unless the registration fee is complimentary. Written notice of the cancellation must be emailed to [email protected]. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within seven business days of the event or for no-shows. 

SUBSTITUTION POLICY: Registrants who are unable to participate in an LHA educational event are permitted and encouraged to have an eligible substitute; however, written notice of the substitution must be emailed to [email protected] at least seven business days in advance of the event. The substitution option is not available if written notification is received by the LHA less than seven business days before the scheduled program.
