Webinar: PDPM: A Game Changer Demystified

Each additional phone line will be billed at the LHA Member/Non-Member rate. Advance registration and payment is REQUIRED to ensure delivery of instructional materials.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Hospital C-Suite: nursing home administrators; senior and mid-level managers involved in revenue cycle; clinical documentation improvement personnel; quality assurance/performance improvement, case management and continuing care staff; discharge personnel, SNF physicians and allied medical staff, and any member of a healthcare organization acquiring, merging or otherwise taking over a skilled nursing facility.

OVERVIEWThe chargemaster is a linchpin within the overall revenue cycle; therefore, it is necessary to keep it up-to-date on reimbursement processes and proper compliance. The chargemaster is a direct and indirect target of compliance for both governmental programs and third-party payers.

As you will learn during this session, chargemasters are complex and can be organized in different ways. Adding to this complexity is the continuing controversy around hospital pricing. A carefully-crafted systematic process is necessary to audit a chargemaster to ensure various concerns are met. The chargemaster must also be organized in a way to help hospitals remain financially viable.

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the PDPM model as it relates to the revenue cycle;
  • Identify inefficient processer that contribute to missed opportunities for reimbursement; and
  • Identify ways to avoid inefficient processes.
