This highly interactive two-day workshop is specifically designed to provide attendees with a solid understanding of the IRF PPS regulations that govern the completion of the IRF-PAI. It includes a comprehensive review of IRF-PAI coding, a thorough analysis of CMS’s case-mix group payment system and its ongoing changes, a review of pertinent IRF PPS regulations, and an explanation of how facilities can begin monitoring themselves for compliance with these regulations. Attendees will participate in discussions of best practices and operational issues they can utilize at their IRFs.
Whether they are brand-new to an IRF or have years of experience in inpatient rehab, attendees will benefit from this in-depth workshop and its comprehensive resources. Each attendee will receive a notebook full of useful resources that will enhance their knowledge and daily practices. The target audience for this workshop is new rehab directors/managers, PPS coordinators, and any nurses and therapists acting in these roles.
This continuing nursing education activity will be submitted to the Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD) for approval to award contact hours. Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD) is an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
