OVERVIEW
This one-day seminar will cover in detail The Joint Commission’s current Life Safety (LS) Standards based on the 2012 edition of the Life Safety Code. Recent changes in the Joint Commission requirements will be reviewed in detail. The seminar will focus on Interim Life Safety Measures and the NFPA Life Safety Code 2012 edition requirements for Healthcare and Ambulatory Healthcare Occupancies as specified in the LS Standards.

- Review the Joint Commission process used for surveying the Life Safety Standards;
- Review the Interim Life Safety Measures requirements;
- Review changes to the Statement of Conditions; and

MEET YOUR FACULTY: Fred J. Osborne, P.E., has more than 33 years of national healthcare consulting experience and has been a clinical faculty member with The Joint Commission. He is president of Osborne Engineering, Inc., located in Wilmette, Illinois. Additionally, he has been a member/advisor of the Joint Commission Committee on Healthcare Safety and has extensive experience with both teaching The Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety Standards, as well as working directly with healthcare organizations.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing up to one week prior to a scheduled event will be charged a cancellation fee of $40 (per person, per event). Registrants who are unable to attend an LHA educational event are permitted to, and encouraged to send a substitute without incurring a cancellation fee. Please send written notice of any substitutions prior to the scheduled event. Cancellations received less than one week prior to the scheduled event, or individuals who fail to attend will result in a non-refundable registration fee.
TRANSFER POLICY
Transfer requests must be in writing and received one week prior to the event to receive a credit to use at a later date. A $40 transfer fee will be charged. The LHA will hold your credit for a period of one year following the start date of the program for which you were originally registered. Transfer requests received less than one week prior to event will result in a non-refundable registration fee.
